Elfix Oraliteratura

Perhaps the most succinct evidence for the potent magic of written letters is to be found in the ambiguous meaning of our common English word “spell.” As the Roman alphabet spread through oral Europe, the Old English word “spell,” which had meant simply to recite a story or tale, took on a new double meaning: on the one hand, it now meant to arrange, in the proper order, the written letters; on the other, it signified a magic formula or charm. Yet these two meanings were not nearly as distinct as they have come to seem to us today. For to assemble the letters that make up the name of a thing, was to establish a new kind of influence over that entity, to summon it forth. To spell, to correctly arrange the letters to form a name or a phrase, seemed at the same time to cast a spell, to exert a new and lasting power over the things spelled. Yet we can now realize that to learn to spell was also, and more profoundly, to step under the influence of the written letters ourselves, to cast a spell upon our own senses. It was to exchange the wild and multiplicitous magic of an intelligent natural world for the concentrated magic of the written word.

In fusing his prior works, Rhin had formulated Oraliteratura soon after arriving in LA. For Rhin, it was a way to popularize and convey notions on indigenous — and oral cultures on the brink (or past the brink) of extinction. It was his way of bending the current course of humanity back towards something that had been alive for eons.

The oralstory of Oraliteratura narrates the existence of the Elfixxes; sexy and eco-conscious elven beings, who dwell within their 7-planet system — thematically organized around seven stories within the eponymous ‘Oraliteratura’, a canon of stories inscribed by the Elfixxes in the very fibers of their universe by means of speech. Rhin loved putting fictional bodies of work inside the reality of his worlds.

Like seedpods, he would often explain.

The story of Oraliteratura was successful in the sense that it forged a bond between Rhin’s once ‘leftish’ and ‘green’ peers back in Europe, and what he saw as the stimulation-lusty younger generation of Americans that now frequented his performances.

Soon after a first oration tour, the story of Oraliteratura was picked up by the board of VR-Studios and turned into a film series; visionary — nonetheless — but assembled rather sensationally as it was aimed to reach even larger audiences. Below is a fragment of the biography of Juice Valora — the main character of the 7 Planets of Juice cosmos.

— taken from the VR-Studios Archive —

Juice Valora (pronoun they/them) is a tall, green-eyed, well-built and lean Elfix. They were born in the green, juicy and kinky universe of Elfix; imagine whips, chains and role-play in the weekends, while during the 4-hour workweek the ecologies of all the objects in space are mapped, revealing intricate links between all systems. Elfixxes are — to put it bluntly — woke as fuck. Their 7-planet system is thematically organized around the 7 main narratives of their Oraliteratura;[i] The Sagas of Virtue & Bliss, Shared in Eyegazing Ecstasy. Some say, the planets existed as they are prior to the formal telling of the Sagas. Others believe the planets came second, after the First Telling. In a system such as the Elfixxes’s, which dwells on the looping of utterings and emergence, the obsession with the origin of things often leads to lots of laughter and merriment. In fact, Elfixxes wouldn’t be Elfixxes if they didn’t enjoy the paradox of living in a reality that is continually co-created by their moods, transient inspirations and talkative creative minds.

Valora grew up on Valex7, a planet interlinked with Earth’s Venus.[ii] They studied in the creative field in their teens, becoming a Master in Manifestation with a Minor in Empathic Field Building.[iii] Currently, they work as a Council Elf Extraspecitarian[iv] projects, while organizing Touch Ups[v] in a community Salon during their free time. Juice is an avid Oraliteratura performer, causing vast expanses of Elfix System to develop and retract in prosaic ways (not always in agreement with the law).

The young age at which Valora graduated from their Masters isn’t typical of Elfixxes, though it isn’t uncommon. Like all their folx, Juice advocates for Plant and Spirit Rights throughout the galaxy, doesn’t like the exhaust fumes and wasteful industries, nor biases around race, gender, abilities and backgrounds. Heck, Valora has a hard time relating to people who believe in linear time. They wish for everyone in the galaxy to just wake up. Like most Elfix, Juice is allergic to an array of synthetic lights and heavily processed foods.

In terms of appearance, Juice’s skin reminds one of the way light hits the insides of seashells on Earth. Except that it is smooth like the skin of a vegan humanoid. In the Eflix Folx, skin does vary greatly, adapting continually to the sharing of Oraliteratura or the effect of intimate touch and self-inquiry. Though a tad too personal for a formal biography, Juice (as friends call them) is keen to share that their gender experience and appearance ongoingly cycles across various experiential states throughout the year, allowing diverse forms of bliss and emotional bonding to occur. Like all Elfixxes, their erogenous zone presents as moist green moss, flowering out and open into hot formation during erotic playtime. At present, Juice is experimenting with the expansion of their Erogenous Zone all over and even beyond their body, making the sheer existence of life in the galaxy a potential orgasmic experience. Rendering the entire universe as Erotic intersecting with consent, brings a curl and a glimmer to their lips during recurrent daydreams.

Juice sometimes presents as a femme-butch Punk-Druid (in reference to a character from his favorite green planet in the galaxy: Earth). With their hair gathered up in a flamboyant plum, they present as Sassy Diva. Yes, a lot of things shimmer in their passing. Hairstyles aside though, Juice is known for their bright mind and devoted heart, impromptu healing parties and magical music performances. A burst of talent. Loved by many.

Juice’s interest in planet Earth has recently gotten more serious. They even considered moving. To prepare for relocation, Valora is working on a research proposal on Sex Stones; record-keeping devices that hold the collective experience of Passion, Bliss and Conscious Communication. They are an ancient tool used for the unfolding of Erotica and Relationships in the Elfix System. Juice has reason to believe that similar devices have been used on planet Earth in a long-ago past. Until they receive permission to relocate, the research keeps them occupied. Not many Elfixxes ever leave their system, as it is believed that the experience of losing the ability to effortlessly transmute reality can cause life-long shock. In the meantime, Juice fantasizes about organizing a Queer Community Home that is a bit away but still close enough to the magic of Urban Valex. More than anything, Juice likes encounters with others who are like themselves. They enjoy co-creating a play in joy, connection in trustful surrender, pushing the envelope of closeness and developing ever more beautiful relationship constellations.

This was to be the last time Rhin handed over the rights to one of his stories without a proper content agreement. In the entire cinematographic rendering of Oraliteratura, retitled as 7 Planets of Juice, the notion of Oraliteratura had been omitted entirely. The idea that anything in the universe could come into existence by mere expression, had been casually cast off like some archaic strap-on device that wouldn’t sell well. While indeed, the sensationally attractive transactor Hubert Dallas played an excellent role as Juice Valora, the idea that everything in existence could dwell on an ongoing partnership between utterings and emergence[6] was, to Rhin’s great disappointment, never picked up by the mainstream.

— End of PART 2 —

VR Archive Material notes:
[i] Within the Elfix universe, Oraliteratura are in essence stories that create and inscribe the fibers of the universe upon expression. The Sagas of Virtue & Bliss, Shared in Eyegazing Ecstasy is one of the most known bundles of stories spoken amongst the Elfixxes.
[ii] The Galaxy of the Elfixxes was, according to the author, interlinked with our own Solar System.
[iii] Valora grew up as what was then known as a ‘boy,’ though later aligned as a non-binary of gender, with coherent pronouns they/them. They don’t mind being addressed with he/him, but aren’t always in resonance with that particular terrain of gender.
[iv] In the Galaxy of the Elfixxes, most Humanitarian projects have become intersectional since 23.09.5443 and are concerned with the welfare of all beings and species across the Galaxy.
[v] Meet-Ups centered around consented touch and emotional processing as a form of building strong 10 intimacies, which are commonly held in community centers known as Salons.

Footnotes:
[6] Emergence can best be described as the ephemeral paradox of a living reality that is continually co-created by the groups who dwell there; kins of various moods, the transient inspirations of flora and fauna and creative mind of spirit itself — altogether creating a field of potentiality, ready to be yielded, played upon and altered.
